This enables us to make a diagnosis based on both the patient’s information and the objective observation and measurement of the organs and structures involved in balance function. The diagnosis is carried out based on the criteria of the International Barany Society.

After the medical diagnosis is established, the professionals in our Vestibular Rehabilitation service will create an individualized program based on a comprehensive functional assessment, the user’s symptoms, and mutually agreed-upon goals. In general, rehabilitation programs aim to maximize functionality, reduce symptoms, and prevent future crises.
Rehabilitation complements pharmacological treatment if it is prescribed.
